Can I pay my storage unit bill online?
As St. Louis’s most convenient storage facility, we have made it extremely convenient for you to rent from us. Once you have come into our office, been assigned a unit and have signed your initial contract, you may pay all future bills online. We also have an Auto Bill option for your convenience. You simply leave you card on file with the office and we’ll run it monthly on the first of the month. We also accept payments from your bank or credit union’s online bill pay service.
Why do I need a storage unit?
We have all storage unit sizes available. Whether your son or daughter is moving to college and you’d like a little more room in the house, or maybe your wife has insisted you clean out the garage but you don’t want to throw those treasures away, we have a space for you.

Can my company use your storage units for business-related items?
Absolutely. In fact, we have several businesses who use a storage unit to store supplies such as trucks, trailers, tools and other materials used on the job. Our storage units are also great to store back-up equipment, files and other documents.
Because I-55 Store It is conveniently accessed from I-55 and is accessible 24/7 upon request, it makes a great warehouse facility for small business owners who want to reduce overhead – which allows your office to have more space for expansion!.
I want to rent from you but I don’t like mice. Or bugs.
While some storage facilities may have critter problems, I-55 Store It does not. We have a professional company spray monthly for bugs and other critters, which keeps them away.
I have a tractor trailer moving truck to bring my belongings for storage. Can I get it into your facility?
NO, we do not allow trucks over 40 ft. and absolutely NO tractor trailers. They will not be able to make it through our gate or around our facility without causing damage to our gate, building, and the truck itself.

What can I store in my storage unit?
Only use the storage units for dead storage such as furniture, holiday decorations, tools, cloths, etc. Flammable, explosive, or hazardous materials are NOT allowed on site. Also NO perishable items, as they will rot over time and attract mice and bugs, which we work hard to keep out.
NOTE: It is against the law to live in a storage locker due to no running water and no electricity. If found doing so you will be evicted immediately without a refund and the police will be called to escort you off I-55 Store It property.
Do you have climate control in your storage units?
We understand that St. Louis weather can be tough. But no, our units aren’t climate controlled. Clean, dry and pest-free – yes. Secure – yes. Well-lit – yes. But no climate control. From the research we have done, we found that unless you are storing high dollar video equipment or expensive or valuable antique furniture, climate control is really a waste of money. Using a storage unit for your belongings is much like using your garage.
Do you have lights or electricity inside your units?
No, we do not have any lights or electric in any of the units. The facility has ample motion and dusk-to-dawn lights to light the area 24/7. If you feel you will need to have a light in your unit we recommend keeping a good flashlight or electric lantern just inside the door of your unit.
Do I have to buy storage insurance if I rent a storage unit from you?
NO, we do not sell storage insurance here at I-55 Store It. Check with your insurance agent to verify or add storage coverage with your renter’s or homeowner’s insurance if you wish to have your property insured while being stored here. It will be cheaper and easier than buying storage insurance.
What do I need to do when I need to move out? Do I need to give any notice?
Yes, we require a 15 day written notice which includes your name, new/current address, unit number, and a working phone number in addition to the date you plan on moving out. This date must be no later than the day before your next due date. We also require you to remove everything from the unit, sweep the unit clean, and then come see us in the office to close your account. Once this is done, your $20 security deposit will be returned to you.
During what hours may I access my storage unit?
Customers can be provided 24/7/365 access upon request to their storage unit. Regular gate access times are 5AM – 12 Midnight.
What are your office hours?
Our Business is open 10:00am – 5:00pm Monday through Saturday.
We are working remotely Monday – Thursday. In the office on site on Friday & Saturday.
Our office is closed on Sundays and major holidays.
What is our policy for Cancellations and/or Refunds?
We do NOT refund rent payments made or credits on your account.
The only refund we issue is your $20.00 security deposit so long as you give us a 15 day written notice prior to your due date, sweep your unit clean of everything, and remove your lock.
As far as cancellations of payment and new rentals we will issue a full refund within 24 hours of it being processed.
